THE PLAYERS:

Dulcimer Fling! contains the digitally re-mastered compiled contents of the two albums by dulcimer duo Leo Kretner and Jay Leibovitz. The content has been reorganized to feature an instrumental CD plus a vocal disc containing additional bonus cuts from Leo's and Jay's solo works.

Here's how it all began

On Dulcimer Fair (1978) and Pigtown Fling (1979):

Leo Kretner played mountain dulcimer (mainly "finger-style") and guitar, and does the lead singing.

Jay Leibovitz played the mountain dulcimer (mainly "noter-style) and does a bit of singing, too.

We will always be indebted to our friends who accompanied us, and the great contributions they made to the music. Here's who they are:

Roger Phillips played guitar & bowed psaltery
Larry Hadsall played fiddle.

On Pigtown Fling:

These three played on the old-time tunes, their forte:
Bill Meyer played fiddle & banjo.
Craig Johnson played guitar.
Dave Cahn played fiddle, banjo, & mandolin.

These four played on the Irish tunes (except that Dave and Robin also played on the old-time number Big Scioto):
Dave Orlin played banjo & concertina.
Ellen Jacobs & Vinnie Tufo played fiddles; and
Robin Lewis played guitar.
